The History of Walltech

The Walltech System was conceived in Australia during 1992 out of frustration and in response to the inefficiencies and slow technological development in the building process.

Whilst other industries were developing at phenomenal rates, very little had changed within the building industry as building practitioners continued to employ rather dated methods, conservative approaches and were hostile towards change.

The Walltech System challenges this thinking with processes and products that outperform current building technology and offers numerous, significant advantages.

The goal was to develop and commercialise a system that would:

• capture and store the design process in 3D;
• use e-business transactions;
• increase design flexibility;
• offer superior aesthetics and structural integrity;
• offer superior thermal, fire resistance, water resistance and acoustic properties;
• be fully recyclable;
• decrease environmental impact;
• decrease building waste and dust;
• be manufactured offsite in large volume;
• be easily transported and assembled;
• be disassembled, relocated and re-used if required;
• avoid possible contractor installation resistance;
• be less exposed to trade skills shortages;
• dramatically improve work site productivity;
• decrease construction times; and
• deliver significant cost savings.

After more than 15 years of research and development, The Walltech Building System has commenced production and is set to revolutionise the building industry.
